Overview

We are the Windows Developer Platform team, and we build the platform that developers use to build the most engaging apps for Windows. We are building the foundational input platform of Windows UI platform — handling keyboard, mouse, touch, pen, gesture, and emerging input modalities. This role defines how users interact with Windows at the lowest levels, balancing latency, correctness, accessibility, and extensibility.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain input pipeline components.

  • Implement enhancements to improve responsiveness and correctness.

  • Investigate and fix input-related reliability or latency issues

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Proficiency in C++ and/or C# and strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to input systems, device interaction, or event processing.

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.
