Amazon Senior Program Manager, RBS : Cost to Serve in Hyderabad, India

Description

About Amazon

Amazon strives to be Earth’s most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they want to buy online. Retail Business Services (RBS) RBS accelerates Amazon's growth by improving customer and Selling Partner (SP) experiences, while optimizing costs across Stores WW. RBS operates at the intersection of retail, operations, technology, and finance, ensuring Amazon’s systems and processes scale reliably while maintaining a high-quality customer and selling-partner experience.

Cost to Serve (CtS) is a specialized organization within RBS focused on improving Amazon’s per-unit economics across the global supply chain. CtS operates on two pillars: defect identification and defect elimination, and partners with WW Operations, Finance, Returns, Concessions, and abuse-related programs to uncover true cost drivers and remove them systematically. The team builds mechanisms that improve cost predictability, strengthen upstream defect visibility, and enable consistent governance across high-impact cost categories, contributing directly to improved Free Cash Flow and scalable business growth.

Are you passionate about driving measurable cost impact at a global scale? Amazon's RBS CtS organization is looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager to join our team and lead a net-new initiative focused on Ops Variable Defect Elimination. This role will focus on identification and prioritization of high-impact defect opportunities from the ground up, and will own and define the roadmap for the Ops Variable charter end to end. They will do this by building trusted partnerships with key stakeholders across finance, operations, and technology, earning alignment to pursue defect elimination opportunities and influencing senior leaders through compelling, data-driven business cases. This role requires an individual who is equally comfortable diving deep into complex cost data and presenting strategic recommendations to leadership up to three tiers above level. The candidate will bring strong financial and supply chain acumen, a bias for action, and the strategic vision to help shape how Ops Variable work fits within the broader CtS organization long term — directly contributing to improved cost to serve performance and driving scalable growth across Amazon Stores worldwide.

Why You’ll Love This Role

• Customer Impact: You’ll lead critical projects that remove defects for customers and directly influence Amazon’s supply chain cost, driving measurable results.

• Strategic Influence: Collaborate across global teams, including finance, operations and technology, to shape strategies that improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

• Strategic Planning: This is a net new space and role, and one where leaders are investing to explore opportunities within Ops Variable defect reduction. We will look to this leader to inform RBS leadership in how to think of this work within our broader strategy, and what level of investment is appropriate based on the level of opportunity to deliver cost savings to Amazon in this category.

• Earn Trust: Develop partnerships with key stakeholder groups and gain their alignment to pursue defect elimination opportunities; present to leaders of all levels to influence roadmap priorities.

• Financial Collaboration: Partner with finance teams to validate cost models, forecast savings and ensure alignment with Amazon’s financial goals. Make trade-offs between short-term cost reductions and long-term strategic objectives to maximize financial impact.
