We are seeking a Senior Manager Engineering (SG 29) to lead an offshore team delivering full stack and Generative AI solutions. This role is focused on people leadership, technical direction, and delivery ownership, with solid collaboration across onshore engineering teams and business stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead architecture and engineering of enterprise-scale, mission-critical applications
Architect distributed systems with a solid focus on scalability, resilience, performance, and security
Design advanced microservices-based systems using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and frontend technologies like React/Angular
Lead backend architecture and system design, including high-level and low-level architectural blueprints
Lead Camunda workflow design and optimization
Provide technical and architectural leadership for full stack and Generative AI initiatives using React, Node.js, Python, LangChain, and LangGraph
Promote effective use of modern development tools, including GitHub Copilot, to improve productivity and code quality
Lead and mentor the offshore engineering team, driving career development, technical excellence, and team engagement
Partner closely with onshore engineering and business teams to align priorities, translate business needs into technical outcomes, and ensure predictable delivery
Guide the application of engineering best practices, design patterns, and architectural standards across the team
Own delivery commitments, quality, and adherence to agile practices, including participation in design reviews, code reviews, and ceremonies
Stay current with advances in AI, ML, and software engineering, guiding thoughtful adoption within the team
Provide direction for machine learning models and data pipelines when applicable

Required Qualifications:
Graduate degree or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience with enterprise Java/J2EE applications
5+ years of React.js experience
Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms
Experience guiding teams working with MongoDB and RESTful APIs
Expert-level proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate
Solid grasp of system design, architectural decision-making, and software design patterns
Solid understanding of full stack architectures including JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, and Python
Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture, asynchronous processing, and messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar
Exposure to Generative AI systems including GitHub Copilot, LangChain, LangGraph, and agent-based solutions
Solid experience with cloud-native solutions
Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases
Solid command of CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle, and SonarQube
Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams in an offshore or distributed model
Proven communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance technical depth and leadership accountability
