Role & Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and qualification of laboratory products manufactured across global sites, while driving cost optimization and design standardization initiatives
Manage and deliver complex projects in a program management capacity as part of a cross-functional team
Apply strong design expertise with a solid understanding of global qualification standards and regulatory requirements
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and at or below target cost through robust engineering planning, including quality, cost, schedule, and risk management
Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders
Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to drive effective and sustainable solutions
Build and strengthen technical knowledge and proficiency across product lines
Foster a culture of continuous learning by coordinating technical training, addressing capability gaps, and supporting the development of a strong technical pipeline
Collaborate effectively with sourcing, operations, quality, service, and global R&D teams, as well as external suppliers and partners
Perform cost-benefit analyses and validate annualized savings for assigned projects
Lead Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities while maintaining product quality and performance
Partner with Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure compliance and secure required product approvals
Demonstrate a strong track record of delivering measurable business impact.
Skills & Proficiencies
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-8+ years of relevant experience, including product cost optimization and VAVE project execution
Proven experience leading end-to-end complex projects, with a minimum of 5 full lifecycle project executions in a project leader role
Strong expertise in stage-gate or technical review processes
Good understanding of regulatory requirements, certifications, and global engineering standards
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities
High attention to detail, accountability, and ownership mindset
Ability to think creatively and drive innovative solutions
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
VAVE and/or PMP certification
Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and CAD tools such as UG/NX, along with working knowledge of simulation tools like Ansys
