Amgen Manager, R&D Business Analysis in Hyderabad, India
What you will do
In this role, you will serve as a senior analytical professional and people manager within the R&D Business Analysis Team. You will lead complex analyses, support strategic and operational decision-making, and act as a trusted thought partner to business stakeholders across R&D and enterprise functions. You will also manage and develop a team of Business Analysis professionals, ensuring high-quality delivery and capability growth.
Job Responsibilities
Lead complex financial, operational, and business analyses supporting R&D and enterprise decisions
Develop business cases, scenarios, and recommendations to support planning and investment decisions
Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches
Partner with stakeholders to align assumptions, priorities, and insights
Deliver clear, leadership-ready insights and presentations
Manage and develop Business Analysis team members, including goal setting, coaching, performance feedback, and development planning
Set priorities, review work quality, and ensure timely delivery across assigned workstreams
Support improvement and standardization of analytical tools, templates, and processes

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience OR
Master’s degree and 4–6 years of relevant experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 6–8 years of relevant experience OR
Diploma and 10–12 years of relevant experience
Prior experience managing or leading others
Advanced proficiency in Excel and analytical modeling
Strong experience with data analysis and reporting tools
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting strategic planning, portfolio management, or investment decisions
Experience managing analysts or small teams in a matrixed environment
Familiarity with enterprise systems and analytics platforms
Experience working in R&D, operations, or regulated environments
Ability to synthesize complex information into executive-level insights
