Role: Maintenance Operations Manager
Location: Hyderabad
Brief Description of Role
As the Maintenance Operations Manager, you will lead a team of maintenance technicians, driving continuous improvement in preventive maintenance and minimizing equipment breakdowns. You will ensure alignment with HSE, Quality, and Food Safety standards, represent Maintenance in key forums, and play a pivotal role in achieving plant KPIs. This role is responsible for shaping maintenance best practices and developing technical capabilities within the team.
What Are We Looking For?
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (BE) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a reputable college (FMCG preferred)
Minimum 10 years’ experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, preferably in an engineering role
Proven leadership in managing maintenance teams and operations
Strong knowledge of HSE, Quality, and Food Safety systems and standards
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with tactical tools such as RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and FMEA
Demonstrated ability to develop multi-skilled associates and deliver technical training
Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
What Would Be Your Key Responsibilities?
People Leadership & Development:
Lead, engage, and motivate the maintenance team. Develop multi-skilled associates and ensure ongoing technical training in collaboration with Technical Trainers.
Maintenance Excellence:
Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs. Drive manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives, and facilitate all planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
Operational Performance & Compliance:
Improve equipment uptime, reduce breakdown frequency and downtime, and optimize maintenance costs. Ensure strict adherence to Safety, Food Safety, Sustainability, HACCP, local regulations, and ISO requirements.
Budget & KPI Management:
Prepare, forecast, and control the annual maintenance budget. Periodically measure and analyze key maintenance KPIs (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, energy consumption), and lead action plans for continuous improvement.
