Welding Supervisor | Logan,UT
Nexeo is seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to lead and manage the welding department for a manufacturing operation in Logan,Utah. This direct-hire position plays a critical role in overseeing daily weld shop operations,supervising employees,and ensuring production goals are met safely,efficiently,and with high quality.
Working closely with the Operations Manager,the Welding Supervisor will coordinate workflow,drive production efficiency,support continuous improvement initiatives,and help develop a skilled and accountable welding team. Responsibilities
Supervise,organize,and coordinate welding department employees and daily activities
Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and customer expectations
Improve production efficiency and productive labor hours within the weld shop
Assign jobs and tasks to team members and follow up throughout the workday
Lead and participate in daily production meetings
Analyze production data and identify opportunities for operational improvement
Enforce company policies,procedures,and safety standards
Ensure all direct reports are weld certified or actively working toward certification
Train new hires and support ongoing employee development
Conduct performance reviews and assist with corrective and preventative actions
Manage workflow,remove production constraints,and allocate labor and equipment
Support the Operations Manager with hiring,training,and employee performance management
Communicate scheduling issues,process changes,and workflow concerns to management
Maintain employee records including write-ups,reviews,and pay increases
Coordinate and manage machine repair schedules within the welding area
Represent the company professionally and positively at all times
Qualifications
Previous management or supervisory experience
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to enter,track,and manage data within an MRP system
Ability to accurately read prints and interpret action items
Strong commitment to safety and company procedures
Proven ability to lead teams while fostering a positive and professional culture
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Pay Rate
$32.00 $35.00 per hour
