Shipping & Receiving Supervisor | Logan,UT

 Nexeo is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor on behalf of a manufacturing client. This position is responsible for coordinating employees,tasks,equipment,schedules,deadlines,and communication within the shipping and receiving department. The supervisor serves as the liaison between shop floor activity and the Planning and Scheduling Manager,ensuring accurate communication,meeting deadlines,and supporting performance and efficiency in the department.

This role includes supervising direct reports,overseeing workflow and documentation,supporting training,and assisting with shipping,receiving,and assembly-related oversight as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage direct reports
• Conduct daily morning stand-up meetings
• Collect employee documents and submit to the office
• Gather shop paperwork and deliver to front office
• Supervise data entry of received materials/products in Realtrac
• Oversee Shipping and Receiving Clerk duties
• Oversee forklift driver responsibilities
• Supervise assembly/detail personnel
• Train employees on company policies and procedures
• Supervise yard layout,organization,and cleanliness
• Assign tasks and maintain yard expectations
• Assist Quality with incoming and outgoing materials and products
• Supervise shipment accuracy,quality,and next-step planning
• Coordinate movement of materials and products with departments
• Direct movement and staging of incoming material shipments
• Understand daily schedule and report completion to Planning & Scheduling Manager
• Communicate information from Planning & Scheduling Manager to staff
• Oversee shipping records,shelf stocking,and inventory control
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of assigned areas
• Fill in for direct reports when necessary
• Oversee assembly requirements on prints for pre-shipment needs

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to safety
• Ability to read and follow prints,drawings,and assembly instructions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk and move throughout office and shop areas
• Ability to climb stairs,ladders,or trucks occasionally
• Ability to stoop,kneel,crouch,or crawl to locate materials
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
• Ability to observe details at close range
• Frequently lift and move materials up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions

Pay Rate

 $24.00 $30.00 per hour

Schedule

 Full Time | Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
