Quality Control Technician | Logan,UT

Nexeo HR is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to support the Quality Department. This role works under the Quality Control Manager and is responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing products,completing required documentation,tracking certifications,and ensuring all parts meet customer and company quality standards.

This position plays a key role in ensuring that no defective parts reach customers and that all quality procedures are properly documented and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Operate measuring equipment including CMM and manual measuring tools (calipers,micrometers,tape measures,etc.)
• Compare product dimensions to blueprints and verify specifications
• Inspect incoming and outgoing products for flaws,defects,and deviations from prints
• Verify First Article procedures and confirm material certifications (M#s)
• Maintain logs of material certifications and weld personnel qualifications
• Complete data entry and attach required documentation within the ERP system
• Ensure all quality documentation is accurate,complete,and attached to each job
• Initiate and document corrective action plans when necessary
• Work with Project Managers to understand customer expectations for each job
• Coordinate with Shipping & Receiving to clear products for shipment
• Work with forklift operators and drivers to package and load products for delivery
• Identify damages,verify quantities,and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Provide final approval on parts prior to shipment
• Ensure no product is approved for shipping unless all inspection metrics are met

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Comfortable with paperwork,documentation,and data entry
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand dimensions and decimals
• Experience using measuring tools (calipers,micrometers,tape measures,etc.)
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic computer skills and ability to work within multiple software systems
• Ability to follow quality standards and procedures
• Organized and responsible work habits
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Pay

$18.00 $22.00 per hour

Schedule

Full Time | Monday Friday | 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
