Aerotek Diesel Mechanic in Hurricane, West Virginia
Diesel Mechanic
Pay: $23-40
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and chassis components
Perform preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and troubleshooting
Use diagnostic software and tools to identify issues and complete repairs
Document work performed and maintain accurate service records
Communicate effectively with service advisors, parts staff, and customers
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Stay current with OEM training (Peterbilt, Cummins, PACCAR preferred)

Additional Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of diesel mechanic experience (dealership or fleet highly preferred)
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, aftertreatment systems, and electronic diagnostics
Experience with Peterbilt, PACCAR, or Cummins engines is a plus
Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hurricane, WV.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
