The
Registered Nurse or
Licensed Practical Nurse
responsible for
assessments, documentation, and oversight of care for the residents.
They will partner with
the
Director of Nursing
to provide
excellent care.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:
Promotes and supports a positive work environment focused on team building and collaboration.
Provides
on
-call backup to the communi
ty.
Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent personal or health information concerning residents and staff.
Ensures that all the needs are met for the residents as well as
advising
staff that
are
on the shift.
Ensures
that any incident reports are completed properly and promptly.
Prepares necessary medical paperwork for all scheduled resident appointments.
Assists
with compliance in meeting regulations and is available for state licensure surveys.
Maintains resident files and
appropriate documents
as
required
.
Assists Medication Aides and
Caregivers
in service delivery and training as
requested
.
Notifies DON
of any new doctors' orders that are received and
informs
the DON of any med changes.
Performs inventory management for medication administration by Medication Aides and checks new medications from the pharmacy.
Communicates in staff communication book any information that staff needs to be aware of.
Assist
with picking up shifts on an evenly distributed schedule among nursing staff as needed.
Reviews, edits, and
creates
nursing policy drafts to be reviewed and
finalized
by the
Executive Director
and/or
DON.
Obtains, administers, and
documents
prescribed medications and treatments
in accordance with
approved nursing techniques and facility standards of practice.
