Overview
Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client.
The Work
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated solutions that streamline the development, deployment, and operation of mission-critical applications and infrastructure in a secure environment. The DevOps Engineer collaborates with development, operations, cybersecurity, and quality assurance teams to ensure rapid delivery of high-quality services while maintaining compliance with all applicable policies, standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Perform duties requiring experience consistent with the DevOps Engineer labor category.
Maintain and apply required certifications (IAT Level III; IASAE III; Cisco Certified Network Professional; VMware Certified Professional) within the scope of assigned duties.
Support functions aligned to applicable work roles (e.g., Research & Development Specialist; Systems Developer; System Administrator; Security Architect; Information Systems Security Developer).
Document and maintain DevOps-related configurations and support actions as applicable.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

DevOps Engineer SME:
Master’s degree or Approved, Equivalent Experience.
IAT Level III, IASAE III, Cisco Certified Network Professional, VMware Certified Professional.
At least 10 years’ IASAE experience. Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff.
Active Secret Security Clearance is required.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

Working Conditions
Professional office environment, with the ability to work onsite in the main office.
Work may require periods of sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and carrying IT equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Manual dexterity is required for handling small components.
Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
