General Requirements:
Less than a high school diploma with the ability to read and write. No experience required. Prefer any experience acquired in building maintenance, mechanical work, or related assignments. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Responsible for performing a variety of unskilled manual tasks for Residence Life Maintenance.
This is a full-time, temporary, non-benefits eligible position expected to end on or before two months from hire date.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Performs repetitive duties in the field of make-ready for Residence Life Maintenance; this includes but is not limited to changing light bulbs, using ladders, inspect and repair door hardware, inspect and repair plumbing fixtures such as faucets and toilets. Requires the ability to caulk and paint, repair and install mini-blinds, and conduct minor electrical repairs. Performs other related duties as assigned.
