deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL.
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program Requirements team. In this role, the selected candidate will contribute to projects that support the design, development, and integration of GWS capabilities for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The position focuses on requirements development, traceability, and verification activities while collaborating with engineering teams across the program.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 Years Experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years Experience with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
- Experience with DOORS, CAMEO, and/or Model Based Systems Engineering
- Experience authoring requirements and developing verification strategies
- Experience collaborating with engineering disciplines and stakeholders across IPTs
- Familiarity with Atlassian tool suite (JIRA/Confluence)
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical content to audiences of varying backgrounds
- Must be able to work on-site in an office environment
Special Skills Desired:
- Experience performing Systems Engineering work on GWS or GMD
- Experience developing objective evidence and presenting at major program events such as Technical Interchange Meetings
- Experience leading systems engineering efforts through roles such as Product Owner or Scrum Master
- INCOSE or PMP Certifications
