As a Building and Grounds Supervisor I. for Huntington, Scofield, and Millsite State Park, you will be part of a team accomplishing a wide variety of construction and maintenance projects on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will travel and perform a variety of construction and maintenance tasks at Scofield, Huntington, and Millsite State Parks. Additionally, the State of Utah offers a generous benefits package and to see those great benefits.Key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities of this position:Work with park staff to provide care and maintenance of park assets. Builds, fabricates or repairs structures, equipment, and/or miscellaneous articles from verbal instructions, blueprints or working drawings.Performs general facility maintenance including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, pipe fitting, and electrical as well as general cleaning and sanitation.Operates heavy construction equipment including Bobcat, mini excavator, auger rig, concrete saw, back hoe, snowcat, and various hand operated excavating equipment.Paints, finishes and refinishes wood, metal and other materialsTroubleshoots and diagnoses problems, makes adjustments, repairs and performs preventative maintenance on vehicles, equipment or machinery.Provides technical consultation to originators of project job orders, including development of project plans and related estimates.Principle theories and practices of electricity.Plumbing techniques and methodology.Working knowledge of cement, carpentry and framing.
