OSV Material Handler in Huntington, Indiana
Position Pay:
$18.75
After 6 Months:
$23.37
Must be available to work all shifts.
1st Shift - 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
2nd Shift - 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
3rd Shift - 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
This is a Union position that follows a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Primary Purpose:
Feed material to all areas of production, transfer WIP and finished goods throughout the plant, load and unload trailers, handle transportation and warehouse paperwork, receive, inventory and pick and stage material. Operate a forklift and other powered warehouse equipment.
Job Duties/Requirements:
Operate motorized power equipment safely and efficiently
Perform regular sweeps of the production floor to deliver and retrieve material
Prepare, stage, load and unload trailers at the dock
Accurately receive product, perform quality checks through weight verification, etc
Perform periodic maintenance on equipment in the area (i.e. stretch wrapper, cardboard bailer)
Operate manual and motorized pallet jack to move materials
Operate motorized industrial vehicles – forklifts, aerial lifts
Inventory maintenance and cycle counting
Receive freight in ERP system
Read and understand carrier documentation (i.e. bills of lading, packing lists, delivery receipts, etc)
Use computers and RF scanners to maintain inventory accuracy
Maintain 5S and a safe work environment
Perform daily preventative maintenance TPM as required
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
