Huntington Sheet Metal CNC Press Brake Operator in Huntington, Indiana
Operates and performs set-up on manual or CNC press brake machines to fabricate parts. Loads material in machine, cycles machines, and detects malfunctions in the machine operations. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams, selects positions, and secures machinery. Adjusts settings to complete tasks according to specifications. Open to area applicants only. 1st shift.
Set-up and operates production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams, selects positions, and secures machinery
Adjusts machines settings to complete tasks according to specifications, accuracy, and in a timely manner
Loads material in machine, cycle machine, run production lots, communicate with coworkers regarding production runs
Observes, detects, and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to department manager
Keeps record of number of pieces produced, completes and maintains paperwork
Perform all dimensional inspections and logs, if required, on IIR
Maintains safe and organized clean work environment
May perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces
Relies on limited experience and judgment, instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Works under immediate supervision
Perform other ancillary duties as requested / assigned
