Job Title: Plumber – Apartment Renovations (Huntington Beach)

Job Description

This role focuses on plumbing work for apartment renovations, including installing and replacing fixtures, repairing piping systems, and working with a variety of plumbing materials and tools. You will support renovation projects by ensuring all plumbing installations are safe, functional, and completed to a high standard of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform plumbing work for apartment renovation projects, ensuring all installations and repairs meet applicable standards and best practices.

  • Change and install faucets and other plumbing fixtures in kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas as needed.

  • Repair, replace, and install pipes, including domestic water lines and drainage systems.

  • Work with copper, PEX, and ProPress piping systems to complete installations and repairs.

  • Interpret and follow blueprints and construction plans to lay out and install plumbing systems accurately.

  • Install and assemble PVC piping and related components for appropriate applications.

  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, fit, and secure piping and fixtures.

  • Collaborate with other construction trades, such as carpentry and HVAC, to coordinate work on renovation projects.

  • Inspect completed work for leaks, proper operation, and compliance with project requirements.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment with care.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in plumbing, specifically in apartment or residential renovation environments.

  • Hands-on experience working with copper, PEX, and ProPress piping systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.

  • Proficiency in installing and repairing PVC piping and related plumbing components.

  • Strong skills in plumbing installation, repair, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience using common hand tools and power tools for plumbing and construction work.

  • Basic understanding of related construction trades such as carpentry and HVAC to support coordinated project work.

  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work efficiently in an active construction environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with general construction practices and renovation workflows.

  • Comfort working with industrial and residential plumbing applications.

  • Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on job sites.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Work Environment

This position is based on active apartment renovation sites in Huntington Beach. You work primarily in occupied and unoccupied residential units, often alongside other construction trades such as carpentry and HVAC. The role involves frequent use of hand tools and power tools, including channel locks, pipe wrenches, basin wrenches, hole saws, and hose cutters. You can expect a hands-on, physically active environment that may require standing, bending, and lifting throughout the day. Work typically follows standard construction hours, with tasks performed both indoors and occasionally in partially exposed areas depending on project stage.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
