Job Title: 2nd Shift Conversion Dept Operator

Job Description

  • Join our team as a 2nd Shift Conversion Department Operator, where you will be an integral part of our production process.

  • In this role, you will operate equipment controls to ensure the safe loading and unloading of rolls for packing, as well as winding and rewinding finished products.

  • You will also be responsible for preparing samples and printing and labeling finished products.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment controls for loading/unloading rolls safely.

  • Prepare samples of finished products and print and label them accordingly.

  • Check operating controls and ensure the safety of equipment prior to operation.

  • Obtain materials for processing and notify supervisors of any issues with materials.

  • Set up machines based on production orders.

  • Label and pack finished products per work order instructions.

  • Review work orders and drawings to resolve conflicts.

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.

  • Comply with OHSA safety standards.

  • Notify supervisors or managers of any potential safety hazards.

  • Maintain lift cart certification.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

  • 2 years of experience in heavy general labor, heavy machine operation, carpentry, or construction.

  • Experience working with large parts or materials (4 ft +).

  • Understanding of oral and written instructions.

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships.

  • Good documentation skills.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with film/paper/cardboard rewinding or converting machinery.

  • Experience with bottling/food manufacturing machinery.

  • Proficiency with hand tools, drills, saws, etc.

  • Some Microsoft Office skills.

  • Experience with ERP systems to manage work orders and product checks.

  • Good job tenure is required.

Conversion department schedules that are available:

JOB: Lead

Schedule 2A 3pm-11:30pm OFF Fri/Sat $21.50

Schedule 2B 3pm-11:30pm OFF Sun/Mon $21.50

JOB: Machine Operator

Schedule 2B 3pm-11:30pm OFF Sun/Mon $20.50

Schedule 3B 11pm -7:30am OFF Sun/Mon $21.00

Should be flexible to work Overtime

Overtime is on a volunteer basis.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $21.50/hr.
