About the Role
Our California Division in Huntington Beach seeks a skilled CNC Programmer/Set-Up Technician to join our innovative Engineering team. This position plays a key role in improving existing manufacturing processes, integrating automation, and supporting daily operations through machining process development, new equipment setup and troubleshooting.
What You’ll Do
CNC Programming: Create CNC programs for mills (vertical, horizontal and 5 axis) and lathes for new parts and improve the machining strategy for existing parts
Integrate Machinery: Incorporate new machinery and equipment into the production process seamlessly.
Setup & Troubleshooting: Perform hands-on setup and resolve issues with manufacturing and automation equipment.
Fixture Design: Create fixtures for CNC machining and CMM inspection.
Drive Improvement: Recommend and implement enhancements to manufacturing methods, equipment, and operating procedures, with a focus on CNC machining and automation.
Continuous Improvement: Support team leaders and members in evaluating and implementing ongoing improvement projects.
What You Bring
Technical Skills:
CNC programming experience, ideally with Mastercam.
Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
Proficiency in reading and understanding drawings and schematics.
Familiarity with controls, industrial robotics, conveyor systems, and PLC programming is valued.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
At least 3 years of manual machining experience.
3+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
EDM expertise (a highly valued plus)
5-axis CNC machining expertise (a plus).
