In Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA), we provide next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions to provide unparalleled electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability.

You will support the Automated Test Controller Suite (ATCS) Group within CEMA Systems Engineering to define, develop and maintain system software tools used to create automated data solutions. As a Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of system software tools used to create automated data solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop transferable skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the development of system software tools

  • Write software scripts in various languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, SQL) to execute system OS commands, interface with subsystems and devices

  • Contribute to the development of automated data analysis scripts

  • Collaborate with team members to design and test software

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Hold an active Secret clearance

  • Programming using C/C ; Python or Ruby

  • Scripting with SQL

  • Familiarity with HTML/JavaScript

  • Understanding of JSON and XML data formats

  • Team focused and self-motivated

  • Friendly and approachable with strong communications skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Hold an active Top Secret clearance

  • MS in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Software or equivalent plus 4 years' experience in field

  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering and life cycle processes stages (such as waterfall, spiral, agile/scrum and Vee) and process milestone execution decision gating reviews

  • Understanding of the applications of active and passive sensing in the Electronic Warfare (EW) field

  • RF theory and wireless communication experience

  • Understands and/or has experience with requirements-based design and testing

  • Understands and has experience with object-oriented design and implementation

  • Understands databases, data governance, representation and visualization

  • Understands client and server-side programming constructs

  • Experience with source control and configuration management tools

  • Experience developing software using Linux

  • Experience interfacing to test equipment and/or custom devices

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
