BAE Systems Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Systems (C4ISR) business area is seeking a Principal Program Quality Engineer in the Tactical Systems Product Line. Our Quality Engineering team plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our C4ISR Tactical Systems, which are used by military and government agencies around the world.
Responsibilities:
Lead quality engineering efforts to develop and implement quality plans, procedures, and standards for C4ISR Tactical Systems programs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate quality risks, and implement corrective actions as needed
Develop and maintain quality engineering documentation, including quality plans, procedures, and reports
Manage PMR/MRB process including review and disposition of nonconfomances and variances
Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, including AS9100
Analyze and resolve complex quality issues, and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of work experience or 6-8 years of related work experiene in lieu of degree
Ability to read, interpret and understand a drawing, print and specification
Communication in a clear, concise and professional manner with multiple customers in different organizations, functions and the US Government
Interpersonal communication is verbal and written formats
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including word, excel, power point
Ability to learn BAE Systems software and data management programs
Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplined team
Ability to work independently with little to no oversight
Producting high quality work in a face paced, dynamic work environment
Rework and Repair processing
Production Hardware and Software processing
Customer Requirements and flow down into program execution and tasking
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Technical field
Active secret clearance
Prior Quality Assurance Engineering experience
Program process definition and documentation
First Article Inspection (FAI) AS9102 experience
Green Belt/ Black Belt certification
Hands on experience in a Defense Contracting Environment
AS9145- Advanced Product Quality Program exposure
Manufacturing of complex electronic assemblies
Presentation of product to customer for acceptance/ "sell off"
Preparation of documentation packages for customer review
Hardware Inspection Criteria
Quality Management Systems (AS9100)
Quality Auditing
Configuration Control and Hardware Configuration Reporting
Participation Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
