Join BAE Systems' Compass Call program, a cornerstone of our Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) group, as we expand our capabilities to support growing global demand for advanced electronic warfare systems. As a Software Engineer, you'll play a critical role in advancing electronic warfare systems designed to disrupt adversary radar and communication networks, with a focus on both domestic and international applications, including foreign military sales to Italy and future foreign sales.
Your contributions will directly strengthen national defense and give our warfighters, as well as our international partners, the edge in contested environments. In this role, you'll work with modern C and C# in secure Linux environments, contributing to the development of real-time mission software and advanced processing frameworks. You'll be part of a highly collaborative team leveraging Agile and DevSecOps practices, with continuous integration pipelines and robust testing environments that ensure quality and reliability.
From requirements definition through system integration and verification, you'll engage across the entire software lifecycle, adapting our systems to meet the unique needs of international customers. You'll collaborate closely with Systems, Hardware, and Test engineers, solving complex technical challenges and driving innovation in the electromagnetic battlespace.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field
2 years of professional software development experience
Eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance
Proficiency in object-oriented design, development practices, and implementation in C , C, C#, or Java
Experience developing in Linux environments
Hands-on experience with version control and collaboration tools (Git, Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Active Secret Clearance
CompTIA Security Certification
Knowledge of real-time embedded systems, signal processing, SDRs, or RF communications
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
Experience with software verification and validation
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $79365 - $134921
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
