Job Description:
COVERFLEX MANUFACTURING INC is seeking a skilled and dependable individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining facilities and facility repairs, and structures to ensure seamless operational efficiency and safety. This position requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform a wide range of tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on facility grounds to ensure optimal functionality and prevent unexpected breakdowns. This includes lubricating, cleaning, and adjusting/replacing parts.
Repairs: Diagnose issues by troubleshooting malfunctioning components. Utilize various tools and techniques to repair and replace defective components, ensuring it is restored to working condition promptly.
Facility Upkeep: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on building structures, including plumbing, to maintain a safe and comfortable working environment.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure workplace. Identify potential safety hazards and report them to management promptly.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and inspections, to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with other departments, including production and office personnel, to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize urgent repairs.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair work, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals.
- Basic knowledge of facility upkeep, facility repairs and plumbing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to report issues and collaborate with colleagues.
- Flexibility to work, including evenings and weekends, if required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
