Our client, a leading organization in the transportation and logistics industry, is seeking a Transportation Supervisor - Shift 3 to join their team. As a Transportation Supervisor - Shift 3, you will be part of the Transportation Department supporting a dynamic team of drivers, dispatchers, and supervisors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Transportation Supervisor - Shift 3
Location: Houston, TX
Pay Range: Based on experience and qualifications
Shift: As per Business need (Weekend wrap 6:30 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. Friday - Monday workdays)
What's the Job?
Coordinate and oversee the daily activities of transportation operations, ensuring on-time deliveries
Manage and supervise drivers, dispatchers, and yard supervisors to optimize efficiency
Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors to resolve delivery issues
Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, repairs, and expenses
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards
What's Needed?
Minimum of 5 years of logistics or transportation industry experience
Strong leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
Excellent analytical, costing, and communication skills
Experience working in a union environment is preferred
