Superior Completion Services is excited to announce that we are seeking a Tool Assembler II for our Office in Houston, TX.
In this hands‑on role, you’ll take charge of teardown, maintenance, and assembly of critical service tools while keeping a clean, organized workspace that supports fast, high‑quality operations. You’ll also assemble saleable equipment and flow‑control valves, ensuring every product meets our high standards for Safety, Quality, and Productivity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with all company Safety and Security policies, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment, Job Safety Analysis, and Take 5 Safety initiatives.
Report injuries, accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions to a Manager or Supervisor immediately.
Assembly and Disassembly of equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Follow all Quality Procedures for the Preservation, Packaging, and Storage of Products
Adhere to on-call/off-call work schedule, being available on short notice around the clock and on-call week.
Carry out daily activities with the Supervisor and/or Manager to ensure the quality and quantity of work meet performance expectations as set by Management
Participate in training and cross-training within other areas to utilize labor efficiently and to prevent downtime or disruption to operations.
Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
Ensure that service tool components are cleaned, oil-dipped, soft-assembled, and properly staged.
Assist with the loading and unloading of tool baskets.
Perform pressure testing on various tools per SOP’s. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma/GED
Minimum of 6+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry with Tool Assembly experience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficient in the operation of forklift, H.P. test pump, and hydraulic press
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe operations
Basic math skills
Computer skills needed for data entry and reporting
Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
Understanding written statements in work-related documents
Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and recommend solutions
Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
BEHAVIORAL ABILITIES
Current health, safety & environmental (HSE) training as per division training matrix (Includes both regulatory and SES required courses)
Applicable PPE required to complete assigned tasks
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Ability to operate the test pump and data acquisition
Ability to recognize and solve problems of a complex nature
Able to create innovative approaches to address challenging opportunities
Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner, according to applicable procedures and/or work order
