The Internship Experience

About the Identity Access Management Team
This internship is part of the Cybersecurity Identity & Access Management (IAM) team at WM, where we focus on protecting the systems, data, and identities that power our operations. Our team is known for its innovative thinking, collaborative culture, and commitment to building secure, scalable solutions that support the business while reducing risk.
During your internship, you’ll gain exposure to modern identity and security technologies such as Okta (SSO and MFA) and SailPoint (Identity Governance & Administration), as well as cross-platform automation tools including Okta Workflows and Tines that help streamline identity lifecycle processes and security operations.
Interns may also contribute to initiatives involving identity analytics, passwordless authentication, and automation of application onboarding of enterprise applications.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Uses problem solving skills, determines problems, and understand fundamental parts of the problem.
Conducts analysis as directed, and prepares and delivers insights and recommendations based on analysis.
Synthesizes findings and draws conclusions from analyses and makes oral/written recommendations to supervisor and/or manager.
Executes tasks directly related to functional projects and/or process improvements.
Communicates issues and roadblocks related to areas of responsibility.
III. Qualifications
A. Required Qualifications
- Interns must have a High school diploma or GED (accredited) and be pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s degree (accredited) in a field of study relevant to the internship.
B. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with or knowledge of Agentic AI and Automation

This internship is required to be onsite at our Downtown Houston, TX headquarters Monday through Thursday with a flexible work from home day on Friday.
Candidates must be based in Houston and no relocation assistance is available.
