Job Title: Sourcing Leader-Data Center

Compensation: $68.03 - $114.93 hourly

Overview

The Sourcing Lead is accountable for the end-to-end management of sourcing activities for assigned project packages, from supplier prequalification through award recommendation. This role ensures suppliers are technically capable, commercially competitive, and aligned with project safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

The Sourcing Lead drives disciplined, transparent bid processes and works in close collaboration with engineering, contracts, and logistics teams to ensure a smooth transition from sourcing through procurement and project execution.

Key Objectives

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned material and service packages

• Ensure all sourcing activities comply with company procedures and established project governance

• Partner with engineering and construction teams to convert technical requirements into clear sourcing deliverables

• Maintain full visibility of bid progress, commercial evaluations, and pre-award supplier performance

• Identify sourcing risks and collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to implement mitigation plans

  Core Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed sourcing plans and bidding schedules aligned with overall procurement strategy and project milestones

• Identify, prequalify, and sustain a competitive supplier base for each assigned scope

• Develop and issue RFQs; manage clarifications between suppliers and technical stakeholders

• Lead Commercial Bid Evaluations (CBE) and coordinate Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) with relevant disciplines

• Compile and present award recommendations in full compliance with approval and documentation requirements

• Support contract negotiations to ensure commercial terms reflect project objectives and risk considerations

• Maintain accurate sourcing trackers, bid registers, and documentation to ensure full traceability and audit readiness

  Experience

• 10–15 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within large-scale construction or industrial environments

• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder bid processes

• Strong commercial judgment with deep knowledge of supplier qualification, evaluation, and negotiation methodologies

• Proven ability to coordinate across technical, commercial, and logistics teams to align sourcing deliverables with project requirements

• Experience supporting Data Center or other mission-critical facility projects is preferred

  Qualifications

  Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

  OR

• 12+ years of progressive sourcing experience within construction or industrial project environments

  Preferred

• Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent

• Formal training in commercial evaluation, cost analysis, or supplier performance management
