Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Solution Architect – Low Code, Automation & Process Mining through March 25, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (Central Time).
The Low Code, Automation & Process Mining Solution Architect provides technical oversight and guidance for Chevron’s Low Code & Automation service. In this role, you will lead the architecture and governance designs of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dynamics365 and related services) including emerging AI features like Copilot Studio and drive RPA development standards with Microsoft Power Automate Desktop. You will evaluate new capabilities within those Microsoft platforms - as well as other technologies to determine their fit for Chevron and influence product roadmaps through close partnership with the Product Owner and vendors. You will ensure that architecture of existing solutions are kept updated and evergreen to meet evolving business needs and compliance or security requirements. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will translate complex technical concepts into business terms for a wide range of stakeholders.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Designing and supporting the enablement of MSFT Power Platform, including Dynamics 365 at enterprise scale.
Systems integration expertise –integrating Power Platform and D365 solutions with other enterprise systems
Define and govern Copilot Studio standards and appropriate use at scale.
Coaching junior team members, and customer teams in best practices, ways to effectively communicate, and optimal ways to deliver valuable outcomes relative to expectations.
Understanding and applying of enterprise low‑code architecture principles, development standards, cyber security best practices, and governance.
Up-to-date knowledge of the latest Microsoft features is expected, including maintaining fluency in new releases and extensions of Power Platform (for example, awareness of AI Builder and updated Dataverse capabilities)
Evaluate and enable emerging Low Code capabilities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Work effectively with cross-functional teams – bridging IT, business units, and sometimes third-party vendors or consultants.
Collaborating with product owners, developers, business teams, and external partners.
Ability to work with external product teams to influence roadmaps when needed.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 8+ years’ experience in software development and solution architecture.
Demonstrated experience in designing and developing enterprise-level services or platforms intended for use by other developers and teams, as opposed to consumer-facing applications.
Skilled in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions using a wide stack of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, among others.
Skilled in implementing various architecture styles, design patterns and best practices for software development.
Skilled in evaluating technology and product options, and modern trade-off analysis for various architecture and design choices.
Skilled in ability to design and implement security best practices and compliance requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to process mining concepts or tools, preferably Celonis.
Experience with Oil and Gas Workflows and complex business environments.
Achieved official Microsoft certifications that validate expertise including Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600) certification
Experience with data integration, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
Experience with IoT solutions and edge computing.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with machine learning and advanced analytics.
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, or application lifecycle management practices.
Understanding of security, governance, or compliance considerations in enterprise IT environments.
Experience working in large, complex, or global organizations.
