National Dentex Shipping & Receiving Lead in Houston, Texas

Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Shipping & Receiving Lead opportunity at NDX Stern Empire Dental Laboratory in Houston, TX.

The regular hours for this position are from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Able to perform all functions/responsibilities of Shipping and Receiving Clerk and has the ability and responsibility to schedule cases and/or invoice cases.

  • Receives case, opens case and disinfects case for Packs and ships case for delivery through local source or national carrier.

  • Act as lead person in all areas of shipping and receiving

  • Manage outgoing shipments via selected carrier

  • Lead delivery driver team and manage routes for optimal costs

  • Performs the scheduling function for each case

  • Through LMS enter demographics and customer information

  • Print preference notes matching to

  • Move case into production

  • Invoices cases and assists with billing questions or issues

  • Scanning of paperwork for each case for electronic storage

  • Assist with team member training within receiving & shipping department

  • All other duties as needed

Skills, Abilities and Documents Required:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

  • Data entry and computer skills

  • Driver’s license required

  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks

  • Attention to detail

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Required: 3 years’ experience in shipping and receiving

  • Required: Experience in leading/supervising a team

  • Required: Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record in accordance with NDX standards

Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:

  • Disinfectant process chemicals

  • Personal protective equipment as

  • Office equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach

  • Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions

  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time

  • Repeated bending and kneeling

  • Vision capabilities: Depth perception, attention to detail and/or color

  • Push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 25 pounds
