Position Summary
The QC Intern will support day-to-day quality activities by assisting with a variety of operational and administrative projects. Interns are placed under the leadership of a Quality Control Manager and are invited to learn about Toshibas products, processes, operations and culture through working alongside professionals on a variety of projects and are exposed to a Toshibas cutting-edge product lines and their real-world application.
Key Responsibilities
Perform data entry related to quality inspections and quality records
Maintain accurate and organized record management in accordance with quality standards
Assist with and perform inspection of calibrated tools to ensure compliance with established requirements
Review inspection data and documentation for accuracy and completeness
Communicate effectively with production staff and external vendors regarding inspection and quality-related information
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Knowledge:
Basic understanding of inspection processes and calibrated tools
Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills to interface professionally with internal teams and external vendors
Attention to Detail:
High attention to detail when reviewing documentation, inspection records, and data entries
Computer Skills:
Basic proficiency in data entry and recordkeeping systems
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, squat, and bend as required to capture inspection data
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks associated with inspection and documentation activities
Learning Opportunities
Exposure to Quality Control systems and processes
Hands-on experience with inspection documentation and record management
Development of professional communication skills within a manufacturing or production environment
