Job Title: Process Operator

Location: Houston, TX

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Hours: Dupont Schedule

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret unit parameters to ensure equipment operates within established ranges; troubleshoot deviations or anomalies proactively.

• Perform regular field rounds to inspect for system leaks, structural integrity, or valve malfunctions.

• Maintain comprehensive shift logs and production data using physical and digital documentation platforms for seamless handovers.

• Execute all duties under strict compliance with environmental mandates and hazardous material handling laws.

• Administer Life Critical safety protocols, including LOTO procedures.

• Utilize appropriate PPE as required by site hazards and tasks.

• Participate in safety briefings, HAZOPS, audits, and incident reviews to improve unit performance.

• Conduct chemical analysis on product samples to verify quality specifications.

• Collaborate with engineering teams and external contractors on process improvements and projects.

• Review and implement MOC updates, SOPs, and emergency response protocols.

• Manage utility distribution and consumption, coordinating with adjacent units and leadership.

• Coordinate with maintenance teams during turnarounds and shutdowns, ensuring safety and schedule adherence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus at least 2 years of experience in a chemical processing environment as a Process Operator or similar role.

• Preferred: An Associate degree in Process Technology or equivalent certification/experience.

• Must possess a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn process control software.

• Ability to work on a Dupont Schedule.
