Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group in Houston, TX, is seeking a Plumbing Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for generating business and providing technical expertise for the Plumbing Service team.
In this role, the selected candidate will utilize their plumbing expertise to bridge the gap between Operations and Sales, helping identify customer needs, develop solutions, and support the sales process for plumbing service opportunities. The Plumbing SME will work closely with field operations, sales teams, and customers to ensure projects are properly scoped, estimated, and executed successfully.

Responsibilities:
Attend monthly sales meetings to help create a shared understanding of plumbing service capabilities, solutions, and opportunities.
Partner with Sales to identify plumbing service opportunities within existing and new customer accounts.
Coordinate and conduct site visits and job walk with Sales teams to assess plumbing service needs.
Evaluate plumbing systems and develop scopes of work for service repairs, upgrades, and replacement projects.
Collaborate with Sales and Operations to ensure customer expectations, timelines, and service solutions are aligned.
Work closely with the Resource Coordinator to schedule site visits, project evaluations, and internal meetings.
Conduct site walks and utilize digital tools to develop:
Project scope
Materials lists
Labor hours
Required subcontractors
Rental equipment or specialty tools
Coordinate with Estimating and Procurement Specialists to ensure accurate and timely project estimates and material procurement.
Participate in turnover meetings with Estimating, Area Service Managers, Field Supervisors, and Sales teams to ensure project readiness.
Support proposal development and ensure solutions are communicated clearly to customers and internal teams.
Provide technical guidance to field technicians and sales teams related to plumbing service best practices.
Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach in all interactions with internal teams and clients.
Stay current with plumbing codes, industry standards, and emerging technologies through training and professional development.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, service, and repair.
Ability to evaluate plumbing systems and identify service solutions for customers.
Comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment supporting sales and operations.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple service opportunities simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to work effectively under time-sensitive project deadlines.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
5–10 years of commercial plumbing service industry experience.
Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems including:
Domestic water systems
Sanitary and storm drainage
Pumps and boosters
Water heaters and recirculation systems
Commercial plumbing fixtures and piping systems
Experience performing site assessments and developing scopes of work for service projects preferred.
