ManpowerGroup Mechanical Drafter in Houston, Texas
Our client, a leading natural gas infrastructure company, is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to join their team. As a Mechanical Drafter, you will be part of the Engineering & Design Department supporting the Plant Design and Drafting Team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Mechanical Drafter
Location: Onsite
What’s the Job?
Complete mechanical redline updates and as-built drawings for meter and compressor stations
Maintain and manage piping, civil, and structural drawings within the document management system
Develop and manage 3D model sets using CADWorx Plant Professional
Perform QA/QC checks on drawings prior to submission for approval
Collaborate with design teams and provide weekly progress updates to the Lead Plant Designer
What’s Needed?
Minimum 3+ years of experience in 3D piping design and plant drafting
Proficiency in CADWorx Plant Professional (required) and AutoCAD
Strong understanding of P&IDs, industry symbols, and natural gas pipeline systems
Experience with document management systems (Meridian or similar)
Ability to manage multiple projects independently with strong communication skills
