Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking innovative Mechanical Design Engineers who can contribute to the development, improvement, and qualification of mechanical hardware and systems used in energy industry products. Engineers work within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust, high-quality designs that meet technical requirements, industry standards, and global performance expectations.
Responsibilities
Develop and improve mechanical hardware and systems for energy industry products.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs.
Ensure designs meet technical requirements, industry standards, and global performance expectations.
Participate in qualification testing, product lifecycle development, and design reviews.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Proficiency in CAD (Solidworks).
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge of FEA, CFD, Ansys, Tolerances, GD&T, Material Selection, Stress Analysis, and Documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience designing downhole tools, completion equipment, or oil & gas mechanical systems.
Experience in qualification testing, product lifecycle development, and design reviews.
Familiarity with industry standards and oilfield hardware performance requirements.
Work Environment
The candidate will work in an office environment 100% of the time, collaborating with other engineers within the discipline.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
