Job Title: Machine Operator Trainee
Job Description
Join a dynamic team in a facility dedicated to manufacturing stainless steel tubing. As a Machine Operator Trainee, you'll be immersed in an environment where you'll learn to operate machinery that plays a crucial role in perfecting our products. This position demands a high level of physical activity, as you'll be on your feet throughout the day, engaging in manual labor to ensure machines are set up correctly. You will also manage work orders and input data into the computer system, contributing to the production process.
Responsibilities
Assist in operating machinery that straightens stainless steel tubing.
Engage in manual labor, including moving, shoving, pushing, and pulling tubing.
Receive bundles of product and follow work orders to complete tasks.
Input information into the computer system for subsequent production steps.
Explain work experience in detail, including machine operations and tasks.
Essential Skills
At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing role.
Ability to understand work orders and manufacturing processes.
Experience in machine operation or mechanical manufacturing.
Proficiency with micrometers or calipers.
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet all day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
CNC experience is a plus.
Experience in skill trades like plumbing or carpentry is beneficial.

Work Environment
The role is based in a large, non-climate controlled manufacturing facility. It can be loud and hot depending on the area. The position requires working the 2nd shift (2pm-12:30pm) Monday to Thursday with occasional overtime on Fridays, totaling approximately 40 hours per week. Initially, training will occur on the 1st shift (4am-2:30pm) for about a month, with flexibility to start on the 2nd shift if needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
