ALIFE HOSPITALITY GROUP Lead Maintenance Technician in Houston, Texas

ALIFE Hospitality Group Salary: $55,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience

ALIFE Hospitality Group is hiring a Lead Maintenance Technician to help keep restaurant equipment, building systems, and day-to-day operations running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role for an experienced maintenance professional who can troubleshoot problems, complete repairs, stay ahead of breakdowns through preventive maintenance, and respond quickly when urgent issues arise.

This opportunity is a strong fit for someone with solid maintenance experience in restaurant, hospitality, or commercial environments who takes ownership, works well independently, and understands that equipment uptime directly impacts operations, staff, and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on restaurant equipment, including ovens, fryers, grills, refrigeration units, and dish machines
  • Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency issues to reduce downtime
  • Monitor building condition, including lighting, furniture, and interior/exterior maintenance needs
  • Develop and manage a preventive maintenance schedule
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors and help ensure work is completed correctly and on time
  • Maintain records of repairs, parts used, and service schedules
  • Train staff on basic equipment care and safe equipment use
  • Conduct routine safety checks and address potential hazards
  • Help maintain compliance with OSHA, health, sanitation, fire safety, and related standards
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or commercial setting
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in varying conditions, including hot, cold, and confined spaces
  • Availability for emergency calls and flexible scheduling
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field
  • Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing
  • Prior experience leading maintenance work or coordinating vendors and contractors
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or commercial kitchen environment
Work Environment

This is a hands-on maintenance role in an active hospitality environment. The work includes equipment repair, facility maintenance, preventive maintenance, and urgent response work as needed. The position may involve exposure to heat, cold, confined spaces, and other physically demanding conditions common in restaurant operations.

Compensation

$55,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience
