ALIFE HOSPITALITY GROUP Lead Maintenance Technician in Houston, Texas

ALIFE Hospitality Group is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to keep restaurant equipment, facilities, and building systems running safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on restaurant and kitchen equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as ovens, fryers, grills, refrigeration units, and dish machines
  • Maintain HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to support safe and efficient operations
  • Respond to maintenance requests and urgent repair needs to minimize downtime
  • Monitor building conditions, including lighting, furniture, and interior/exterior upkeep
  • Develop and manage a preventative maintenance schedule
  • Maintain records of maintenance work, parts used, and service schedules
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors and help ensure work is completed properly
  • Train staff on basic equipment care and safe equipment use
  • Conduct safety checks and address potential hazards
  • Help ensure compliance with OSHA, health, safety, fire, and sanitation standards
Required Qualifications
Must-Haves
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or commercial setting
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in varying conditions, including hot, cold, and confined spaces
  • Availability for emergency calls and a flexible schedule
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical or vocational training
  • Certification in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing
  • Prior experience leading or supervising maintenance work
  • Familiarity with CMMS or other maintenance tracking systems
Work Environment / Schedule

This is a hands-on maintenance role supporting restaurant equipment and facilities in an active hospitality environment. The work may involve exposure to hot or cold conditions, tight or confined spaces, and urgent repair needs that affect daily operations. Candidates should be comfortable handling both scheduled preventative maintenance and unplanned maintenance issues. Flexible scheduling and emergency-call availability are required.

Compensation

$55,000-$70,000 per year
