Siemens Energy Field Service Project Manager - STG European Fleet in Houston, Texas
A Snapshot of Your Day(position overview)
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Steam Turbine Fact Finder to support the region in the development of field projects on the European fleet of industrial steam turbines. You’ll apply advanced skills to independently resolve complex repairs beyond standard procedures, using critical thinking to successfully tackle high-impact, intricate, and cross-functional challenges.
How You’ll Make anImpact (responsibilities)
·Serve asthe single point of contact for each assigned field operation project on behalfof Siemens Energy
·Assist indeveloping technical and commercial proposals for maintenance overhauls
·Negotiateand communicate with customer personnel for on-time delivery of Extra WorkAuthorizations and Project Change Orders
·Coordinateand manage various aspects of the project business, including parts, technicalfield service support, tooling, procurement, shipping, and 3rd partyservices
·Developand maintain a robust relationship with customers by continuously demonstratingthe effectiveness of a managed approach to field service projects
·Developand manage project execution schedules
·Directlymanage the assigned field service project contracts to ensure costs areminimized and margin is in line with project expectations
·Workremotely between projects, as required
What You Bring (requirements)
Must havea High School Diploma or GED that can be verified; a Bachelor’s degree in atechnical field is preferred.
3+ yearsof field experience on European Steam Turbines is preferred.
Proficiencyin MS Office applications.
StrongEnglish language skills, both verbal and written; additional language skillsare a plus.
A Globalapproach with the ability to work with teams around the world and a strongintercultural sensitivity.
Abilityto work independently in a multicultural environment and demonstrate ownershipof tasks.
Apositive, can-do attitude and ability to work in an environment with competingdemands, which require prioritization of activities.
Must bewilling to travel up to 70% including 4 to 5 weeks on larger projects.
Applicantsmust be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need forcurrent or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energyemployees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
