Job Title: Power Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Power Systems Engineer to architect power systems for aerospace programs. The role involves human-related system design, presenting preliminary design reviews (PDR), and delivering through PSPICE and Altium. You will collaborate with the flight software team to integrate flight software into the architecture system, define the architecture and requirements, and lead preliminary design efforts. As the technical authority for this subsystem, you will ensure the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Architect power systems for aerospace programs.

  • Design human-related systems.

  • Present preliminary design reviews (PDR).

  • Deliver designs using PSPICE and Altium.

  • Collaborate with flight software team for integration into architecture system.

  • Define architecture and requirements.

  • Lead preliminary design efforts.

  • Act as technical authority for the subsystem.

Essential Skills

  • 15+ years of experience in space power systems architecture for aerospace programs.

  • Expertise in defining architectures for power systems.

  • Proficiency with PSPICE and Altium.

  • Experience with software-controlled systems and interaction with flight software teams.

  • Knowledge of fault tolerance and reliability issues in human-related systems.

  • Ability to make informed make-or-buy decisions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00/hr.
