Job Title: Electrical Inspector (Power Generation)
Location: Seminole, TX (area)
Contract Duration: 12-Months Contract
Compensation: $70.00/hr.

Electrical Inspector (Power Generation)
Project Overview
Greenfield construction project involving the installation of five simple-cycle combustion turbines
Full site development, including roads, concrete foundations, turbine installation, and supporting infrastructure
Civil Inspector will provide oversight and inspection of the EPC contractor
All inspections performed against approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
Key Responsibilities
Perform quality inspections using ArcGIS, Survey123, and standardized inspection templates
Verify EPC contractor work complies with design documents and contract requirements
Document inspection results and findings in Xcel Energy systems
Participate in daily Plan of the Day (POD) meetings
Coordinate inspection readiness and scheduling with the EPC contractor
Work Schedule & Location
Fully onsite in Gaines County, TX (near Seminole, TX / Hobbs, NM)
Schedule: 60 hours per week (10 hours/day, 6 days/week)
No remote work; rotational time off supported
Project duration: approximately 2–2.5 years, with strong potential for extension after 12 months based on performance
Required Qualifications
7–10 years of experience in civil, mechanical, or electrical construction oversight
Strong background in quality control inspections
Power plant experience (gas, coal, or similar) strongly preferred
Combustion turbine experience preferred but not required
Experience with ArcGIS, Survey123, or Procore preferred
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a criminal background check
Per Diem & Travel
Per diem paid at $178/day - 7 days per week
$350 monthly travel stipend for travel home
Vehicle and fuel expenses not to exceed $2,200 per month
Personal vehicles permitted for commuting only (not for onsite use)
Interview Process & Timeline
One round of interviews via Microsoft Teams (30–45 minutes)
Panel interview with hiring leader and project team
Target start date: June 1
