Superior Energy Services Company is currently seeking a Division Controller for our Wellbore Technologies Division, to join our team in Houston, TX. (On-Site 5 days)
The Division Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the division, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and alignment with corporate accounting policies. This role serves as a key business partner to division leadership, providing financial insight, guidance, and decision support to drive performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities for the division, including month end close, forecasting and budgeting.
Oversee revenue recognition, cost accounting, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliationsï‚·
Partner with division leadership to provide financial analysis, operational insights, and performance metrics
Support monthly forecast and annual operating plan, and variance analysis
Perform analysis of Manufacturing variances, cost roll up, analysis of standard cost
Directs preparation of annual operating and capital expenditure budgets.
Support ERP processes, system integrations, and process improvement initiatives
Manage and develop accounting staff within the division
Support audits (internal and external) and respond to audit inquiries
Supervise an accounting staff
Review financial statements with management personnel
Performs special projects as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage employees directly or through subordinate supervisors.
Perform all management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Minimum Requirements:
Strong knowledge of GAAP and operational accounting, manufacturing experience a plus
Experience in a multi-entity or multi-division environment
ERP experience preferred
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to balance detail-oriented accounting responsibilities with strategic business support
Education:
- 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibility
