Job Title: Systems EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to lead the development, commissioning, and testing of state-of-the-art controls and automation systems technology for frac and stimulation equipment. The role involves designing and implementing automation system networks, as well as conducting hardware and software verification and validation.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and coding for PLC, NI, or related software control systems.
Commission and test control systems for frac and stimulation equipment.
Design and implement automation system networks, specifying communications protocols, media, and hardware.
Conduct hardware and software verification and validation.
Essential Skills
Expertise in Siemens PLC and HMI programming.
Proficiency in industrial communication.
Experience with industrial equipment for controls commissioning.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Microsoft Visual Studio, IDE, C#, C++, and MATLAB.
Strong skills in PLC programming, automation, electrical troubleshooting, and controls engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the oil and gas industry.
Knowledge of signal processing and hydraulics.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Collaborative skills to work effectively on a team of 7-8 members and cross-function with the PE digital software team.
Work Environment
The role requires working collaboratively within a team environment. You will be part of a dynamic team of 7-8 professionals, with opportunities for cross-functional collaboration with the PE digital software team. The position involves travel up to 25% of the time.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $60.00/hr.
