ManpowerGroup Commissioning Electrical Lead in Houston, Texas

Our client, an industry leader in large-scale industrial projects, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Commissioning Electrical Lead to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the commissioning department, you will support the successful startup and operational stabilization of major facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive safety mindset, aligning seamlessly with the organization’s commitment to safety and excellence.

Job Title: Commissioning Electrical Lead

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Range: $60

What's the Job?

  • Drive the development and execution of electrical commissioning strategies, procedures, and field plans for industrial facilities.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure systems are prepared for first-time startup and operational readiness.

  • Lead electrical testing, validation, energization, and turnover activities in compliance with safety standards and project requirements.

  • Support documentation quality, including test records, punch lists, and turnover packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Promote a safety-first culture by supporting safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations during commissioning activities.

What's Needed?

  • Journeyman Electrician or equivalent industrial electrical qualification.

  • 10+ years of industrial electrical experience, with at least 5 years leading commissioning and startup activities.

  • Proven experience commissioning electrical equipment and control systems in industrial environments.

  • Strong knowledge of protection relay testing, VFDs, transformers, and high-voltage energization practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of safe execution, team coordination, and vendor management.
