Work Hours: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Dixon Holedall, a proud division of The Dixon Group, is seeking an experienced CNC Set Up Operator to join our 1st shift manufacturing team in Houston, TX! This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong CNC setup and troubleshooting experience who enjoys working in a team-oriented, production-focused environment.

What You'll Do:
Set up and operate CNC machines to run new and repeat production jobs
Install, measure, and verify cutting tools and offsets
Locate, install, and secure jaws and workholding devices in chucks or fixtures
Verify setups using blueprints, job travelers, and inspection tools
Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to ensure part quality
Identify and troubleshoot machining, tooling, or program-related issues
Perform routine daily machine maintenance and housekeeping
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
Cross-train and assist other operators as needed
Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to meet production goals
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 5 years of CNC setup and troubleshooting experience in a production environment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, routings, and work instructions
Proficient with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, scales, gauges)
Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and tooling
Familiarity with G-code and basic program troubleshooting
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Mazatrol-controlled machines
Exposure to minor program edits or offsets at the machine
Previous experience mentoring or training CNC operators
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
Ability to stand and move throughout the duration of the shift
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to work around industrial machinery, cutting tools, and metal parts
Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
