As a CNC Lathe Machinist 1 , you’ll be at the heart of precision manufacturing - setting up, programming, and operating state-of-the-art CNC lathe machines to bring innovative tool designs to life. Your expertise ensures accuracy, efficiency, and the highest quality in every component produced.
Superior Completion Services is currently seeking a second shift CNC Lathe Machinist 1 for our office in Houston, TX .
As a second shift CNC Lathe Machinist 1 , you’ll be at the heart of precision manufacturing - setting up, programming, and operating state-of-the-art CNC lathe machines to bring innovative tool designs to life. Your expertise ensures accuracy, efficiency, and the highest quality in every component produced.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reads blueprints and sets up the CNC Lathe to machine parts per specifications.
Edits the G-Code program to machine parts of varying sizes.
Capable of running 2 CNC machines.
Set up parts on the CNC machine, including installing jaws, bore jaws, tool offsets, and 1 st part prove out.
Lifts raw material and attaches it appropriately to the Lathe for
Operates the CNC lathe machine to turn raw materials into finished parts.
Follows safety precautions and safety guidelines.
Operates cranes and overhead cranes as needed.
Inspects machined components and records

Education
High school diploma or GED required,
A minimum of one to three years work-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficient in communicating with colleagues and in creating a team working environment.
Current health, safety & environmental (HSE) training as per division training matrix (Includes both regulatory and SES required courses).
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe operations.
Ethical business practices.
Applicable PPE required to complete assigned tasks.
Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Understanding written statements in work-related documents.
Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and recommend solutions.
