Job Summary:
Performs advanced purchasing activities to procure materials, components, and services required for operations. Responsible for supplier coordination, expediting, cost optimization, and ensuring compliance with procurement procedures and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Negotiate annual agreements.
Plan and monitor inventory levels.
Follow established procedures, practices and policies to contact vendors, obtain quotations. Examine bids, make awards, place orders and expedite delivery of goods/services.
Exercise judgment and working knowledge of materials and sources of supply to make purchase at a price consistent with quality, quantity, and scheduling requirements
Skills/Experience:
Knowledge of MRP systems (Oracle EBS / ASCP preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in supplier negotiation
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience7+ years of manufacturing purchasing experience
Work Environment:
- Possible exposure to production environment through equipment electrical hazards
Travel:
Limited as needed
