Description
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll focus on identifying and developing new opportunities related to document control and drawing management services. Engagements may range from placing a single embedded document controller to standing up a dedicated project team or fully outsourced support model.
Key responsibilities include:
Proactively identifying, qualifying, and pursuing new business opportunities
Leading discovery conversations to understand client challenges, budgets, timelines, and decision-making processes
Analyzing market conditions, industry trends, and capital project outlooks to shape growth strategy
Partnering closely with practice leaders and delivery teams to develop winning pursuit strategies
Evaluating opportunities and making informed go/no-go recommendations alongside leadership
Managing and tracking activity and performance within a CRM system against defined KPIs
Collaborating with marketing on messaging, campaigns, and participation in industry conferences and events
Requirements
What They’re Looking For
Background & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in business development or sales
Experience selling professional services
Familiarity with engineering, architecture, or construction documentation and workflows
Industry exposure within energy, oil & gas, engineering & construction, or manufacturing
Skills & Strengths
Strong lead generation and prospecting capabilities
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams
Analytical and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills
Comfortable learning new tools, processes, and industries quickly
Tools & Technology
Proficient with Microsoft 365 (with strong PowerPoint skills)
Salesforce experience preferred
HubSpot experience is a plus
Logistics & Work Environment
Approximately 30% travel
Must live within commuting distance of Houston, TX
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Flexibility to work across time zones and occasionally outside standard business hours
