Description
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk with ADVANCEDMD experience to join their team in the Galleria area of Houston, Texas. This role involves managing medical billing processes, ensuring accuracy in billing statements, and working with computerized systems to maintain and update patient records. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical billing and coding, as well as a strong understanding of CPT codes and ICD-10 standards.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review billing statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with medical billing standards.
• Process and update patient records using computerized billing systems.
• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in billing, collaborating with relevant departments for clarification.
• Apply CPT and ICD-10 codes accurately to ensure proper recordkeeping and billing.
• Generate invoices and follow up on outstanding payments with clients or insurance companies.
• Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements in all billing activities.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation related to billing processes.
• Provide support for audits and reviews by gathering necessary billing data.
• Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to address billing inquiries.
• Suggest improvements to billing procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing and coding.
• Proficiency in working with ADVANCEDMD
• Strong knowledge of CPT codes and ICD-10 standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with compliance regulations related to medical billing.
• Ability to resolve billing discrepancies and handle sensitive information.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance companies.
• Capability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
