The Publication Manager, Global Medical Affairs (GMAF) will lead multiple processes related to the dissemination of key strategic publications, providing operational support to Medicals Writers and Scientific Communications Leaders, and project management oversight of key vendor deliverables. The Publication Manager, GMAF will play an integral role in the successful execution of Global Publication Plans across multiple assets in Rheumatology and Dermatology.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Scientific Communications Lead (SCL) with vendor management for key GMAF psoriatic disease (PsD) Sci Comm Team (SCT) team deliverables, including timelines, tracking, and finance updates
Assist Medical Writers with upload and quality assurance of materials to Congress websites as needed
Manage encore abstract process for Global IMM Rheum/Derm/PsD meetings, including warehousing of de novo content on global encore site, advancing encore abstract/presenter selection by GMAL, and liaising with encore vendor/presenting authors.
Coordination of publication status, due dates, & deliverables from multiple vendors, internal publication team, cross-functional teams (e.g., Market Access, TSM) and regional teams to ensure accurate updates to several publication plans across GR-DSC
Liaise with multiple vendors and internal publication team members, cross-functional teams (e.g., Market Access, TSM) and regional teams to develop/update Bibliographies, Pub Metrics, Global Congress Summary Docs
Assist SCL with planning for monthly publication team meetings, including slide development and presenter outreach
Provide guidance and training when needed to regional partners on processes and systems for Global (e.g., JPUBS, presentation templates)
Partner with publication vendors to assure proper documentation for abstracts, posters, and manuscripts on JJIM SP
Organization and maintenance of final abstracts, posters, orals, and manuscripts for ease of reference by regional partners on JJIM SP
Requirements
Education:
- BA/BS required, MS preferred
Experience and Skills:
Preferred:
A minimum of 3-4 years of combined relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred
Prior experience in a Medical Affairs or Publications Manager role for 2+ years is preferred
A demonstrated track record of success within Medical Affairs, clinical environment and/or scientific function is desired
Required:
Strong proficiency is MS Office platforms
Excellent oral and written communication, presentation skills, and project management skills are required
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize assignments is required
Critical thinking, social skills, intellectual curiosity, and team building skills are required
